Blood in the wood and it’s mine
I’m chokin’ on, spit, feelin’ pain
Like my brain bein’ chained
Still gotta give it what I got
– Public Enemy, Can’t Truss It
I just liked the reference to blood in the wood. I realize that building a house is not like being captive in a slave ship. I’m really enjoying the process.
Winter is back. We added our first trusses on the outside walls and the ones that other trusses hang off. We hauled these guys up and placed them by hand. The rest will be craned in on Tuesday (wind permitting). Dennis is coming up, so there will be some days off on the mountain. Talk about fine timing.
Ensuite bathroom. Love the 3 windows. Took some doing to figure this room out but Albert was up to the task.
Master bedroom. Don’t hate me because our view is beautiful.
Dakota, giving me the hairy eyeball. Literally. He is pretty hairy & muddy right now. We keep tabs on each other obviously.
Neighbours are probably relieved now that they can see we are not going for a fourth floor.
